Each month the Egg Industry Center compiles data and statistics on the U.S. Egg Industry and uses this information to create reports that are available here. Because market data is not available until the following month, the publish date on the reports lags one month (e.g. November data is reported in the December report).

Flock Trends and Projections

This report outlines miscellaneous statistics about the U.S. egg industry. It includes in some cases 10-year trends on some industry variables. It also includes a projection for the U.S. Flock Size.

Feed Costs By Region

Outlining the regions by which feed prices are reported, this report provides averages over regions, estimated ration costs and transportation rates.

Conventional Egg Cost of Production and Prices

Reporting on the cost of growing pullets, estimated feed costs, and total costs of production for different types of eggs (shell egg, breaking stocks, checks eggs) and points in the distribution chain (warehouse and retail) produced in a conventional housing systems.

Specialty Egg Cost of Production and Prices

Reporting on the cost of growing pullets, estimated feed costs, and total costs of production for different types of eggs (cage-free, organic and pasture) and points in the distribution chain (warehouse and retail) related to those production systems.
