Dr. Eileen Fabian (Wheeler)

A professor of agricultural engineering at Penn State University, Dr. Eileen Fabian specializes in commercial-scale, modern indoor agriculture, particularly air quality issues withing and surrounding farm animal facilities. Dr. Fabian’s research and Extension teaching efforts focus on engineering principles that improve: the quality of indoor environments; ventilation system performance; precision animal agriculture; animal welfare; and manure management related to gas emissions.

Strategies for communicating across the generations in the workplace

Dr. Robynn Pease

Working in the Univeristy Ombuds Office at Oregon State University, Dr. Robynn Pease works regularly with faculty, staff and students to manage conflict. Prior to her work at OSU, Dr. Pease worked in the Department of Human Resources at the University of Kentucky and also served in local government as a Program Coordinator for the Office of Aging Services. Pease has her Ph.D. in Sociology with an emphasis in gerontology.

Microbial-based strategies for chickens to protect against multiple bacteria: Our Approaches

Dr. Melha Mellata

An Assistant Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Vaccinology in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Iowa State University, Dr. Melha Mellata works to develop treatments against the infections in food animals for foodborne bacteria such as E-coli and Salmonella. Dr. Mellata’s research has resulted in three patents on vaccines and probiotics. She obtained her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Montreal.

Infectious coryza in Pennsylvania

Dr. Sherril Davison

An Associate Professor of Anian Medicine and Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Sherril Davison received her BA, VMD, MS and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania; where she has worked for 35 years. Davison focuses her research on avian influenza laryngotracheitis, infectious bronchitis, salmonella enteritidis, mycoplasma gallisepticum, and infectious coryza. Dr. Davison is on the Editorial Board for the Avian Diseases Journal.

Purchasing trends of specialty eggs by U.S. Consumers

Mr. Maro Ibarburu

An Associate Scientist-Business Analyst for the Egg Industry Center at Iowa State University, Maro Ibarburu produces monthly market reports and special market reports for the U.S. egg industry. He provides the U.S. economic data to the International Egg Commission and also analyzes data needed for EIC research projects and responses to stakeholders. Ibarburu holds an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Iowa State University.
